HPV Vaccine Drive

March 13, 2025

Vaccination against human papillomavirus infection (HPV) protects against the development of cervical and other cancers, especially for those with weakened immune systems, such as people living with HIV. The Rotary Club of New Delhi, India, is providing the vaccine for HIV-positive children and youth aged 8 to 26 years, aiming to reach 1,500 beneficiaries.

RISHI Foundation, with ASHA Foundation and KNP+, actively mobilized peers for the HPV vaccination drive. RISHI Foundation shared detailed information on the HPV vaccine with 200 peers from the I’mPossible Fellowship. The HPV vaccination drive was held on March 13, 2025, at Malleswaram Circle Playground, with the support of the Honorable Health Minister of Karnataka, Shri Dinesh Gundu Rao.

RISHI Foundation assisted with organizing, registrations, and guiding participants. Alongside KNP+ and ASHA Foundation, 1,500 individuals, including our peers, were vaccinated. It was a successful step toward protecting our community’s health, with hopes to reach even more peers ahead.
