Delhi Marathon

February 25, 2025

On February 25th, 2024, 21 runners from the Positive Running Program (PRP) participated in the New Delhi Marathon, marking a significant achievement. For many participants, it was their first time in New Delhi. They explored key landmarks such as India Gate, Parliament House, and Red Fort, along with visits to the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, creating unforgettable memories.

The participants had the privilege of staying in the Indian Navy’s quarters, where they received excellent hospitality. The Navy covered local travel, food, and accommodation, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience. They also had the opportunity to interact with Commander Randhawa and his team, sharing stories and highlighting the impact of the Positive Running Program and the Foundation’s work. The interaction left the team deeply inspired, as the encouragement and support from the Navy made them feel valued and motivated.

Ten runners successfully completed their first-ever 21K, including three females—Ms. Nandini, Ms. Yesheswini, and Ms. Meghana, who became the first from their community to achieve this milestone. Additionally, ten runners participated in the 10K, with nine of them making their debut at this distance. These participants came from various districts across Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, where the Positive Running Program is actively implemented. Despite the physical demands and fatigue, each runner persevered, drawing strength from months of dedicated training. Crossing the finish line was a moment of immense pride and accomplishment, marking a significant milestone in their journey.
